Crews work to reopen roads into Tharwa

Emergency crews are working to reopen roads into Tharwa, as conditions around the Orroral Valley bushfire begin to ease.

Cooler weather has allowed crews to carry out more back burning operations, as the main fire continues to burn out of control.

The blaze, which remains at an ADVICE level for now, has burnt through almost 85 thousand hectares, or 35 per cent of the ACT's land mass.
