Coronavirus field hospital to be built on Garran Oval

The ACT government's announced the 23 million dollar pop up emergency department for coronavirus patients will be set up on the oval opposite Canberra Hospital.

The field hospital will be built by the ACT government in partnership with Aspen Medical and will treat Canberrans with moderate to severe cases of COVID-19.

Two new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the ACT

Two new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the ACT

There have been two new cases of Coronavirus recorded in the ACT in the last 24 hours.

The new confirmed cases are both males, aged in their 60s and 70s.

One is linked to overseas travel and the other is a close contact of a previous confirmed case.

A man is due to face court after he was caught allegedly riding an unregistered trail bike and committing numerous offences in the NSW Southern Highlands.
