Learner Motorbike Rider caught drunk riding twice in two hours

ACT Police have apprehended a learner motorcyclist after he was caught riding twice while intoxicated within two hours.

At about 3.40 pm on Sunday, the 28-year-old was pulled over on Belconnen Way and returned a breath analysis reading of .114.

His licence was suspended and he was released from custody to face court at a later date.

Canberra airport to offer flights to Tasmania

Canberra Airport is expected to announce a deal with Link Airways that will see it start flights with Tasmania from the beginning of December.

Four return flights a week will be offered to Hobart at a cost of $219 one way.

The service could be expanded to 11 flights a week next year if there's enough demand....

No arrests made following Weston stabbing

No arrests have been made after an 18-year-old man died at Weston in the early hours of Sunday Morning following a stabbing attack.

A 16-year-old boy also suffered stab wounds.

The Homicide Squad has been called in with Police treating the death as suspicious.
